SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM
Our social skills program offers the community individualized, evidenced-based social skills groups to teach developmentally appropriate play skills to children ages 5-15. Our groups and their purpose will be carefully designed for ample opportunities to learn and practice skills and then generalize these skills into the natural environment to provide learning across all environments. Groups focus primarily on successfully developing and nurturing friendships with peers. Groups are based on individual needs and each group is carefully created to meet the needs of each individual learner.
Groups are supervised by our Social Skills Program Lead and facilitated by trained, fun-loving, enthusiastic social skill play masters. Our curriculum is developed off of the six stages of play (Parten, 1929). Focusing on creating and capturing child-led natural environment learning opportunities to teach basic and complex skills needed to be more successful and independent in a variety of social settings.
We learn through play and without play we cannot learn and form lasting friendships
